From 5 to 7 August, the 5th China International Industrial Design Exhibition has been successfully held for 3 days at Wuhan International Exhibition Center. As the state's only "national grand" industrial design exhibition, the China International Industrial Design Exhibition has become a key platform for demonstration and promotion of China's exceptional industrial design achievements and accelerating exchange and cooperation for the industry. 
 

At the Exhibition, the National Eco-Industrial Design Institute (EIDI) mainly demonstrated its achievements in the areas of public services for rural revitalization, innovation services for industries, cultivation of innovative talents, network of innovation ecosystem, international cooperation and development, and demonstration services of party construction etc.   
 

The Exhibition is themed on “Design-Led Future for Green Manufacturing”, which has attracted exhibitors from 27 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) and municipalities with independent planing status. With an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, the Exhibition attracts the participation of 331 enterprises. Not only that a number of well-known domestic enterprises have brought their latest products to the Exhibition, but also foreign design organizations from Germany, Japan, France, Russia, India etc., have taken part in the Exhibition, which has fully reflected that the Exhibition is featured with internationalism, state level and professionalization.
 

The Exhibition is co-hosted by the International Cooperation Centre for Economics and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Electronics and Information Industry Sub-council, organized by Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information. Other parallel sessions, e.g. the 5th China International Industrial Design Summit Forum, “Night of Designers” and New Products Launch etc., have also been held during the Exhibition. 
 

The EIDI has thoroughly implemented the requirement that the industrial design shall empower the industrial development profoundly outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan of China, taken initiatives to bring its superiority in the eco-design area into full play, and proactively practiced the ecological civilization, for a foothold in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and across the country. In the future, the EIDI will unite with hundreds of institutions, enterprises and organizations, to integrate resources of all parties, construct an innovation network, accelerate the coordinated development of ecologies of human, industry and environment driven by industrial design, and make contributions to the national strategies including rural revitalization, supporting China in the construction of the “World’s Factory”,  facilitating the integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries and the world’s green development.
