Scope
The award is open to research addressing any of the 17 SDGs, spanning all disciplines relevant to sustainable development — including but not limited to environmental science, urban planning, engineering, public health, economics, and design.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for nomination, a paper must meet all of the following criteria:
• Publication window: Published between January 1, 2024 and October 1, 2026
• Indexing: Published in a journal or conference proceedings indexed by EI, Scopus, or SCI
• Language: Written in English
• Authorship: Open to authors of any nationality or institutional affiliation — no geographic or institutional restrictions
How to Nominate
Nominations are welcomed from two sources:
1. Third-party nomination — Any individual (researcher, reviewer, practitioner, etc.) may nominate a published paper. Third-party nominations require the first author's consent before the nomination is considered valid.
2. Self-nomination — Authors may nominate their own published work directly.
Each paper will be counted only once; duplicate nominations for the same paper will be merged into a single entry.
Required Nomination Materials
• Paper title, DOI/link, and full citation
• Journal/conference name and indexing status (EI/Scopus/SCI)
• Relevant SDG(s) addressed
• A short statement (up to 300 words) explaining the paper's contribution to sustainable development
• Nominator's name, affiliation, and contact information
For third-party nominations: confirmation of first-author consent
