On January 25, the Report on the Work of the Guangzhou Municipal Government 2022 was released. The Report made a comprehensive summary of the experience and lessons of the past 5 years, meanwhile set development directions for the next 5 years, and arranged major tasks for 2022.

The Report points out that in the past 5 years, Guangzhou has successfully held 260 international conferences, and the World Eco-Design Conference held in the Eco-Design Town is among of them; In the task arrangement for 2022, it is mentioned that we shall strengthen the brand-building of high-end international conferences, in specific, it includes the World Eco-Design Conference, Imperial Springs International Forum, International Finance Forum, Annual Investment Conference and Maritime Silk Road International Expo etc. We shall implement the "Foreign Affairs +" Action, promote the "100 Cities +" Plan of International Sister Cities, and carry out a series of Understanding Guangzhou series activities for the delegations of the consulate generals in Guangzhou. The Report also instructs to promote the construction of international communities and improve the public service management to an international level.

Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. Conghua has abundant ecological resources, and now it is ushering the release of ecological potential. The convening of the First World Eco-Design Conference in 2018 and the permanent settlement of it have made Conghua, Guangzhou to be heard by the world. The World Eco-Design Conference was granted consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council earlier, which has achieved the zero breakthrough of first social organization with consultative status in Guangzhou. Up to now, by relying on the construction of the permanent site of the World Eco-Design Conference, the Eco-Design Town has held numbers of international high-end conferences, which has become a gorgeous name card of Conghua and even Guangzhou.

The Second Party Congress of Conghua District proposed to forge a vigorous Liuxi. In specific, by relying on the platform projects such as the Eco-Design Town, Conghua Racecourse of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, Imperial Springs International Convention Center and Xincongjing International Exchange Garden etc., we shall continue to enhance the cohesion of high-end market elements, strive to introduce headquarter-type and innovative enterprises, and meticulously create high-quality green development demonstration area along Liuxi River, which is 35 kilometers long starting from the Design Museum - Historic Hot Springs Inject New Vitality. We shall constantly enhance the brand influence of the high-end conferences, continue to hold the Imperial Springs International Forum and the World Eco-Design Conference, and manage to organize a batch of high-end "conferences, exhibitions, awards and festivals", having these high-end conference activities to become important carriers of vigorous Liuxi.
