The Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province released the Notification of Naming the 2022 “Guangdong Environmental Education Bases” (Guangdong Environmental Protection Notice (2022) No. 579) on 19 December 2022. The Eco-Design Town is officially awarded the title of “2022 Guangdong Environmental Education Base” and the first batch of “Demonstration Units of Guangdong Environmental Education Bases”. It is verified by the the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province.

 

On 13 December,  2018, the First World Eco-Design Conference was unveiled in a grand ceremony in the Eco-Design Town in Conghua District, which signified that the Eco-Design Town in Conghua District is officially open. Time flies, the solid development in the past 4 years has forged the Town into a renowned characteristic town in Guangdong Province which is multidimensional, superior, and platform-based which combines industrial cluster of design, cultural tourism, leisure, resort, ecological research and education, and charming rural revitalization etc..    

There are plenty of natural landscapes resources in the Town, centered on Yadong River, diversified cultural tourism products, such as ecological lawn, S.Resort, Designers’ Village, Star Camp at S.Resort, Conghua Liangkou Airport are tied up. The Phase 2 construction of Shanti Hot Spring Villa with facilities for residence abroad is completed, making the Town a preliminary completion of an integrated cultural tourism industry for eco-cultural tourism, and a well-known destination for cultural tourism and leisure in Conghua District.  

 

Since the 4th anniversary of the Town, significant achievements in the industrial development have been made, an international association centered on the Designers’ Village for exchange and transformations among design talents has been established. It moves forward with the settlements of an institute affiliated to the UN, the National Eco-Industrial Design Institute, and contract signings with 72 low-carbon design enterprises in the Ecological Green Valley. As the permanent venue of the World Eco-Design Conference, the Town has successfully hosted a number of conferences. It has truly practiced the development of industrial cluster of eco-design, and founded a sustainable integration in innovation industry which takes ecology as the bone, and design as the spirit.  

 

The Town insists on forging a systematic human ecology development matrix by differentiated experiences. It is user focused, specializing in user demands on ecological interactions with nature. Multiple experimental research products that combine parent-child education, study and research on nature, study and research on aviation have been created. Relying on the industrial ecology and eco-cultural tourism, hundreds of grand marketing campaigns have been undertaken by the Town, a communication bridge between enterprises and users has been forged, itwhich is highly recognized and complimented by entrepreneurs. The Town has provided endless driving force for the construction of human ecology while seeking change and preserving stability by its constant innovative operation.
