The UN Charter established ECOSOC in 1945 as one of the six main organs of the United Nations. The 61st Session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD61) will take place from 6 to 15 February 2023 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, with 37 organizations including the World Health Organization, the African Youth Movement and the International Council on Social Welfare as the main participants. The guests include senior UN officials, ministerial officials, well-known scholars and experts etc.

 

As an non-governmental organization (NGO) in special consultative status with the United Nations, the World Eco-Design Conference was invited to convene the Digital Arts and Culture Side Event of the United Nations 61st Commission for Social Development online on February 10, 2023. At that time, United Nations officials, representatives of domestic and foreign governments, universities, enterprises, organizations and media will attend and discuss cutting-edge technologies and experiences in the fields of design, digital economy and innovation.

 

Themed with "Promote the developments of education, culture and industry by digital art, and implement the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" , the Digital Arts and Culture Side Event of the United Nations 61st Commission for Social Development aims to present how digital art contributes to achieving SDG4, SDG5, SDG8, SDG9 and SDG12; share exceptional case studies in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic; discuss on the future development trend of digital art and design, as well as how digital art and design empower the sustainable developments of education, culture and industry.
