On December 18, 2023, Development of Professional Competency and Entrepreneurial Education was successfully held at the International School of Design. Ms. Li Yajun, an alumnus of Zhejiang University in 1991, was invited to share her entrepreneurial experience and entrepreneurial approach. Ms. Li Yajun is the general manager of Ningbo Steps Import & Export CO., LTD， her company is mainly engaged in the production and export of bags and clothing accessories, and the company’s products are exported to Europe, America, Southeast Asia and the Middle East and etc.

 

MALAMBO LUSHOMO, 2021 Industrial Design Engineering, “I enjoyed this class with Ms. Li a lot. it was nice and encouraging to meet and talk with a female manager about her experiences and overall decision-making techniques she used as she built up her business. My biggest take away from this particular career class was SMART which was an abbreviation for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound. As individuals fresh out of school we tend to have big dream but so many uncertainties. We know what and who we want to be and we ‘hope’ to get there, but we don’t think SMART. I am glad I got to meet Ms. Li and learn from her, and I look forward to thinking and planning SMART.”
