To infuse “cultural energy” into rural revitalization, cultural tourism industrial development is promoted by the Ying Stone (a specific type of stone produced in Yingde City). On December 25, 2020 Conghua Eco-Design Town Jiangying Ying Stone Culture and Art Exhibition was held in the Eco-Design Town, which helps the rural area to revitalize its cultural vitality and introduces Jiangying Ying Stone culture through innovative cultural and art works.

The Ying Stone Culture & Art Exhibition is co-organized by Zhishi Fenzi (Guangzhou) Cultural Industry Co., Ltd., Ying Stone Cultural Board of Yingde and Eco-Design Town. Over 100 pieces of Ying Stone in high ornamental value are exhibited in the exhibition hall of the Eco-Design Town. They are in different poses and expressions with different charm, and attracts nearly 100 literature and art experts, stone appreciators and fellows from all over the country. It is lively at the scene, and a cultural and art feast of notable stone and Eco-Design Town has begun.

All Ying Stone exhibited at the Exhibition are know to be originated from Jiangying Village, Jiangying Town, Yangshan County, Qingyuan. Located at the development zone of karst landform, the Jiangying Village is rich in Ying Stone resource. With the great support of the People’s Government of Yangshan County, Work Group stationed in the County of Huangpu District, People’s Government of Jiangying Town of Yangshan County and the Responsible Agency of Counterpart Cooperation of Jiangying Village of Huangpu County, the First Party Secretary stationed in Jiangying Village, and the Leader of Poverty Alleviation Task Force, Chen Yuanxing assumes the post of Chief Planner of Ying Stone Culture & Art Exhibition.

“We hope that more people can see the charm of Ying Stone culture at this Exhibition. Under the premise of protecting natural resources, people can explore local cultural heritage on the principle of adaptation to local conditions. Meanwhile we would like to attract social force to concern and help poor villages, promote industrial revitalization by cultural revitalization, and drive cultural tourism development, making the lucid water and lush mountains truly benefit the people of this place.” Chen Yuanxing states.

The Ying Stone Culture & Art Exhibition held in the Eco-Design Town promotes the construction of new position of Literature and Art for the People, provides a new demonstration and service platform for general masters and enthusiasts of literature and art, and also motivates cultural tourism industry to develop by Ying Stone, so as to make the Guangzhou rural revitalization irradiate the unique fascination of rural literature and art of a megacity in the new journey.
 

Rural revitalization cannot be separated from rural cultural revitalization, and the cultural revitalization is the spirit and core of rural revitalization. The Eco-Design Town has proactively developed cultural art industry, and empowered the rural revitalization since its construction and operation. By proposing and organizing large scaled, discerning and influential culture and art events with grand themes, it reinforces exchange and integration of multiculture, and use culture to “cast the soul” for rural revitalization. In December this year, the Eco-Design Town was nominated as the first rural culture and art space of the Guangdong province, and a new imagination of culture and art empowering rural revitalization has begun.
 

Until now, the World Eco-Design Conference has been successfully held in Eco-Design Town for twice. Other than that, over 100 large and medium conferences and events, such as 2019RoboRAVE, Asia-Pacific Forum on Youth Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Clear Water and Green Mountains Forum, 2020 Guangzhou CH50 Ultra-trail Running Race, National Assembly of Hostel, Lawn Music Festival, design education camp for public etc., having received over half million guests from governments, enterprises, schools, academies and media.

Revitalize culture to achieve rural revitalization, strong culture brings rural areas. The rural revitalization can be truly motivated only if we could catch the soul of rural cultural revitalization, and walk the path to rural cultural prosperity.
