With the gradual improvement of epidemic prevention and control, and the resumption of work and normal life, the Eco-Design Town, which is an hour drive from Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area city group, has become a new daka site in north Guangzhou this May Day Holiday with the reception of nearly 100,000 visitors.

On the WEDC Front Lawn, many tourists set up tents to play, have picnics and camp etc. Children with kites run happily, and their families sitting around laughed from time to time. On the banks of the Yadong River, people walk leisurely in twos and threes, and sometimes take out their mobile phones to photograph the beautiful landscape.
 

In the summer season with all things flourish, the Eco-Design Town, which is surrounded by lucid water and lush mountains, is haunted with full of vigor. Visitors flocked to enjoy the flowers, dabble, have picnics and play in bustling.
 

First Show of Yadong River in May Day

The Yadong River is the first tributary of the Liuxi River and flows through Liangping Village, Liangming Village and Tangwei Village in Liangkou Town. It is about 10,800 meters long. In June 2019, the Eco-Design Town launched the Natural Environment Management Project on both sides of the Yadong River, bringing a new face to it. This year's May Day Holiday is the first time to receive such high-density visitors after the completion of the first phase renovation of the Yadong River.
 

After nearly half a year of ecological restoration, the silted river has now been replaced by a number of green shore beaches, viewing platforms, ecological wetlands and dabble trails, which can not only achieve the purpose of producing oxygen, conserving water, maintaining soil and water, but also eliminate pollution, purify the air, reduce noise, regulate climate, etc.
 

The completion of the ecological corridor of the Yadong River creates a leisure space for the surrounding presidents and also adds an emerging pop-up daka site.
 

To meet this special May Day Holiday, Eco-Design Town has formulated the "May Day Holiday Work Program 2020" in advance, so as to ensure the smooth progress of all the work.
 

"At the intersection of Eco-Design Town, we set up service sites, did a good job of registration of personnel vehicles, the temperature measurement, the verification of health codes and other epidemic prevention measures.” said Head of Property Security. To cope with thousands of daily visitors flow-rate, the Property Security Team also implemented a traffic diversion refinement program, arranged personnel to guide the traffic and improve efficiency to ensure the town’s parking lot in order during the holiday.
 

The Eco-Design Town takes tourists' quality travel as the starting point and foothold, adheres to the safe and orderly guiding principles, and provides key protection for the peak flow control area at the Yadong River Scenic Area.
 

"In every section of the Yadong River, we have arranged staffs to stand guard and send special personnel to patrol by a balancing bike to avoid accidents."
 

During this May Day Holiday, under joint efforts of Property Security Department, the Yadong River Scenic Area handed over a satisfactory answer with "0" accident, effectively guaranteeing every tourist’s safety and health.
 

In addition, the Eco-Design town has fully upgraded the disinfection process of service centers such as conference centers, shops, restaurants, etc., and an outdoor leisure tea drinking area has been specially added in Cafe.D. The distance between the tables were maintained over 1.5 meters, with providing convenience services such as cleaning-free disinfectant, so as to provide tourists a healthy, comfortable and reassuringly dining and playing environment.
 

Develop camping and water entertainment program at Eco-Design Town  

The outbreak of the epidemic made people realize the importance of the economic value, ecological value and living value of the countryside. The mountains and waters remind people of the nostalgia, the beautiful countryside of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area urban agglomeration has attracted more and more attention, and has become the "back garden" that people pursuit.  
 

Next, the town operation team plans to further develop the water resources of the Yadong River, utilizing the existing platform, trails and other first-phase transformation results to construct diversified water entertainment programs, including paddle board, kayaking and water park, water electric bumper boat, etc.

At the same time, the operation team will make full use of the good natural resources in the town and plan camping bases and outdoor research education camp along the Yadong River, so as to further meet the needs of surrounding residents and out-of-town tourists. They committee to forging uptown characteristics town of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with the concept of green ecological development.
