Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and held annually on 5 June since 1973, World Environment Day has grown to be the largest global platform for environmental outreach, environmental awareness, and environmental action. It is celebrated by millions of people across the world. As 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of World Environment Day, UNEP is calling on governments, cities, organizations, and industries to invest and implement solutions to end plastic pollution and create a circular economy.

The "Ecological Rheology·Environment Symbiosis Driven by Design" Theme Art Exhibition is the only registered exhibition activity in China. As one of the global celebration activities of the World Environment Day, WEDC hopes that this theme art exhibition will reflect the flow, change, and intersection of the ecosystem and the solutions to ending plastic pollution and creating a circular economy. The theme art exhibition will show the importance of environmental problems and environmental protection actions, and express concern and appeal for the environment. It also advocates harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature to protect the earth and help achieve the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The outstanding artworks in this theme art exhibition will be collected by the World Eco-Design Conference (UN Consultative NGO) permanently and continue to be displayed at UN events.

On the 2023 World Environment Day, you are invited to visit the theme art exhibition and discuss the topic of harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature driven by design.
