World Eco-Design Organization (WEDO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting global eco-design development. It was established in 2023 and was formerly known as the World Eco-Design Conference - the only consultative organization in the field of design in China that was approved by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (one of the six main bodies of the United Nations).

 

WEDO holds regular meetings at the United Nations headquarters every year, aiming to promote global exchange and cooperation in the field of eco-design and promote the implementation of sustainable development concepts. The 2024 Annual Meeting of the World Eco-Design Organization, with the theme of "Design Action", is scheduled to be held in Vienna, Austria on 18 June 2024. UN representatives, experts and scholars, business representatives, and government officials from different countries and fields will be invited to discuss how to achieve global sustainable development goals through  the application of innovative eco-design concepts and technologies.

 

The event will last for a week, including a plenary session, visits to the UN headquarters, the designaustria and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and research study, etc. Registration for this meeting will bring you the opportunities to:
