On November 23, 2024, the 2024 International Conference on Digital and Innovation (ICDI2024) was successfully held in Shanghai, attracting widespread attention from the global design academic and industrial communities. As the guiding organization of the conference, World Eco-Design Organization (UN Consultative Status NGO) actively participated in and supported the event, promoting in-depth exchange and collaboration in digital technology and innovative design.
Professor Ying Fangtian, Director General of World Eco-Design Organization and Fellow of the European Academy of Engineering, delivered opening speech at the conference.
The conference centered around the theme “Digital Technology-Driven Design Innovation: Exploring New Trends in Future Design”. Scholars around the world gathered to give keynote speeches on topics such as digital art and design, digital cultural mapping and dissemination, digital space design, innovative developments in packaging design in the digital age, and artificial intelligence and interaction design. They jointly discussed the latest trends in digital technology and design innovation, as well as future development directions. In the afternoon, there were four sub-forums focusing on frontier topics such as the integration of AI and data in large-scale design, the application and innovation of digital technologies, human-centered integrated innovation and digital + X. Over 50 excellent research papers were presented through oral reports at the conference.
